My recent role as eCommerce & Sales Senior executive at Solis of Switzerland AG was undoubtedly one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career.

Leading and managing the migration of multiple webstores from Magento to ShopifyPlus across the APAC and European regions was a challenging huge undertaking.

The project involved integrating with a unique ERP, adapting to different payment gateways, time zones, navigating diverse work cultural nuances and time zone. Despite all these, the successful launch of the webstores is a evidence of the expertise and dedication of the external vendors and internal team.

While the webstores are now operational, on-going maintenance and optimization are essential for a successful DTC ecommerce business. Compared to Magento, ShopifyPlus's low-code/no-code platform significantly reduces the need for dedicated developers. Additionally, the team's prior experience with Shopify platform and the responsive technical support is the winning combo.

This migration project was equivalent to 7 separate projects for a small or medium-sized agency. As a bonus, I was able to maintain a healthy work-life balance, avoiding the burnout experienced in previous roles. Notably, age is no barrier to effective collaboration with a younger manager and colleagues I worked with.

Throughout my employment, I rarely needed to work late, and I had direct access to top management for information and back story which is shared with me generously.

Unfortunately, my time at Solis of Switzerland AG has come to an end due to recent layoffs.
